Hull/Quebec Police Heliport

Urban redevelopment. The heliport was co-located with the Sûreté du Québec (Quebec Provincial Police) station for the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais. The old station and its adjacent helipad were demolished starting in the spring of 2019 to facilitate the construction of a new, larger, and more modern police facility on the exact same site. The new facility, which opened in late 2020, was designed and built without a replacement helipad.

The site of the former heliport has been completely redeveloped. It is now occupied by the new Sûreté du Québec police station for the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais and its associated parking lot and infrastructure. The physical helipad, markings, and any related aviation infrastructure no longer exist.

The Hull/Quebec Police Heliport was a private, single-pad heliport that served as a crucial tactical and logistical base for the Sûreté du Québec's air service in the Outaouais region. Its operations were exclusively for police purposes and included:
- **Aerial Surveillance:** Patrolling urban and rural areas within the Hull sector of Gatineau and the surrounding MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais.
- **Emergency Response:** Rapid deployment of personnel and equipment for critical incidents.
- **Search and Rescue (SAR):** A staging point for SAR missions in the vast and often rugged terrain of the region.
- **Tactical Support:** Providing air support for ground units during pursuits, large-scale security operations, or investigations.
Its primary significance was providing the provincial police with a dedicated and immediate-launch air asset capability within Quebec's portion of the National Capital Region.
