Circa late 2000s. The exact date is unknown, but the airstrip appears to have fallen into disuse between 2009 and 2012. Satellite imagery from 2015 confirms that residential construction had begun on the property, permanently closing it.
Economic reasons and land redevelopment. The privately-owned land was sold and repurposed for a residential housing development, which was more economically valuable than maintaining a private airstrip.
The airport is permanently closed and has been partially redeveloped. A residential cul-de-sac named Valleydale Court has been constructed directly on the southern portion of the former runway. The northern portion of the runway alignment remains as a grassy field behind the new homes but is no longer maintained or usable as an airstrip.
