I’ve never been but I see that they will be having a BBQ starting at 4pm on August 10, 2024 (rain date August 11).
Nice field and great people! There is an RAA bbq there in early June this year.
152s and 172s are operating from this strip.
Great turf strip, 31 x 13, wide abd 2000 feet long, few obstructions to the south, high and low wings operating there
Reply to @david: It's not in George Plews lists (CFS airports, CFS heliports, WAS seaplane bases) that I can find.
I can make out what might be a landing strip beside the pond, but it's extremely small -- it wouldn't work for anything but an ultralight, at best.
I attended their annual BBQ on August 9th, 2025.
It is a beautiful 2192ft grass strip! Awesome, friendly people! Trees and powerline (marked with orange balls) at the West end.
Reply to @david: It is 2192 ft long. Trees and marked hydro lines at the West end but open to the East. Plenty long enough for a Cessna 172, etc…
