🇧🇷 Instituto Dr. José Frota Helipad

The Instituto Dr. José Frota Helipad (BR-1120) is classified as a hospital heliport, specifically serving the Instituto Dr. José Frota (IJF), a major public emergency and trauma hospital in Fortaleza, Brazil. The heliport was designed to facilitate the rapid transport of patients with complex traumas and for organ transplantation.

Inaugurated in October 2013, the facility has a total constructed area of 1,145.00 m², with a landing area of 784 m² capable of accommodating up to three helicopters simultaneously. It features an elevated structure with a landing level 59 meters above ground, access ramps, night lighting, and two private elevators. While the Coordenadoria Integrada de Operações Aéreas (Ciopaer) previously utilized the heliport, it has been out of service since July 2019 for preventive maintenance, with aerial operations now diverting to Ciopaer's base in Fortaleza.
