Since its registration with ANAC has been cancelled, it is no longer a legal landing zone for aircraft and is now simply a paved area that may be used by residents for recreational purposes or may sit unused.

The name 'Lagoa Heliport' was a descriptive, unofficial name due to its location next to a large lake (lagoa), and 'BR-0887' was an unofficial identifier used in some non-governmental databases. Its purpose was to serve as a private amenity for the residents and guests of Alphaville Eusébio, an exclusive, high-end gated community. Operations consisted of private, non-commercial helicopter flights, allowing affluent individuals to bypass traffic and travel conveniently to and from the Fortaleza metropolitan area. While not historically significant on a national level, it was a symbol of luxury and a key feature for one of the most prestigious residential developments in the state of Ceará.

There are no known official plans or public discussions regarding the reopening of the heliport. For it to become operational again, the owner (the Alphaville Eusébio condominium association) would need to reverse its previous decision and submit a new application for registration with ANAC, ensuring compliance with all current aviation regulations. The prospects for reopening are considered low unless the community's leadership determines that the benefits of the heliport once again justify the associated costs and liabilities.
