Paamiut Airport (IATA: JFR, ICAO: BGPT) is a small domestic airport that serves as a critical lifeline for the town of Paamiut, located in the Sermersooq municipality of southwestern Greenland. As there are no roads connecting Paamiut to other settlements, the airport provides essential year-round access for residents, government services, and a small but growing number of tourists. Opened in 2007, the airport was part of a significant infrastructure initiative by the Greenlandic government to enhance connectivity for remote coastal towns. These flights primarily connect Paamiut with Greenland's key air hubs in Nuuk (GOH) and Narsarsuaq (UAK), from where passengers can transfer to other domestic or international destinations.
