Mestersvig Airport (BGMV) is a military airfield and outpost located in Mestersvig, Greenland. It is situated in Scoresby Land, on the southern shore of the King Oscar Fjord within the Northeast Greenland National Park.
The facility features a single gravel runway, 13/31, which measures 1,800 meters (approximately 5,900 feet) in length and 45 meters in width, with an elevation of 52-56 feet above mean sea level.
Historically, the airport was constructed in the 1950s to support lead and zinc mining operations in the area, which ran from 1956 to 1963. Currently, it serves as a Danish military outpost, facilitating logistical support for patrols in the Northeast Greenland National Park and accommodating military transport aircraft for the Danish Air Force and NATO allies. The airport does not have scheduled commercial service.
