La Fantasia

Economic reasons. The land on which the private airfield was located was sold to real estate developers. The value of the land for residential development far exceeded its value as a general aviation airfield, leading to its permanent closure and redevelopment.

The site has been completely redeveloped and is now the location of a private, gated residential community and country club named 'Club de Campo y Haras La Fantasía'. The runways and all aviation infrastructure have been removed and replaced with roads, houses, polo fields, and other recreational facilities. The name 'La Fantasía' was retained for the new development.

La Fantasia was a private aerodrome (aeródromo privado) that served the general aviation community in the Luján and surrounding areas of Buenos Aires Province. It was not a commercial airport with scheduled flights. Its primary operations included:
- Private flights for light aircraft owners.
- Flight training and instruction for new pilots.
- Agricultural aviation (crop dusting/fumigation), a vital service for the region's farming industry.
- A social hub for local pilots and aviation enthusiasts.
It was a typical example of the many small, private airfields that support local aviation and agriculture in Argentina.

None. The land has been permanently and completely repurposed for high-value residential and recreational use. Re-establishing an airport on the site is logistically and economically infeasible, as it would require the acquisition and demolition of the entire country club and residential community.
