Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. traces its origins to Chautauqua Airlines, established in 1973 in Jamestown, New York, by Joel and Gloria Hall. The company formally organized as Republic Airways Holdings in 1998, with its headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, later announcing a move to Carmel, Indiana. Over the years, Republic expanded through strategic mergers, including the integration of Shuttle America in 2017.
