Sunrise

Sunrise Airways S.A. is a Haitian regional airline that was founded in 2010 by Haitian businessman and pilot Philippe Bayard. The airline commenced scheduled passenger and charter flights in 2012, with a mission to create an extensive air network connecting the vibrant capitals and islands across the Caribbean region.

The airline's primary operational base and corporate headquarters are located at Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Sunrise Airways also maintains hub operations in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and V.C. Bird International Airport in Antigua, which supports its Eastern Caribbean regional expansion. The current fleet comprises various aircraft types, including the Embraer EMB 120ER Brasilia, Embraer ERJ-145LR, British Aerospace Jetstream 32, and Cessna Grand Caravan EX. As of November 2025, Sunrise Airways is expanding its fleet with the addition of two Airbus A320s.

Sunrise Airways operates an extensive route network focusing on the Caribbean, encompassing both domestic and international destinations. Its network includes cities within Haiti, and international flights to countries like Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Panama, Sint Maarten, Antigua, Dominica, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Barbados, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The airline also serves the United States, with current operations to Miami and planned new services to Fort Lauderdale and New York from Cap-Haïtien. Sunrise Airways is not a member of any major airline alliance like Star Alliance, SkyTeam, or Oneworld. However, it holds a codeshare agreement with Cubana de Aviacion and interline agreements with Hahn Air and Air Caraibes. The airline primarily offers a single cabin class, Economy Class, which may be split into different fare types. Passengers are typically allowed one carry-on bag (up to 5kg or 7kg) and a personal item, with checked baggage allowances varying based on domestic or international routes. Online check-in is not available; seat selection is usually assigned at check-in.
