About China Southern Airlines Cargo

China Southern Airlines Cargo (operating as China Southern Air Logistics Co., Ltd.) is the dedicated cargo division and wholly-owned subsidiary of China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd., which is the largest airline in China by passengers carried. While China Southern Airlines was founded on July 1, 1988, dedicated cargo operations began in April 2000 with wet-leased freighters. The cargo division was formally incorporated as a distinct subsidiary in December 2018 and received its independent Air Operator Certificate from China's Civil Aviation Administration in August 2021.

China Southern Air Logistics operates on a dual cargo hub model, with its primary gateways at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The cargo fleet currently consists of nineteen Boeing 777-200F freighters, and it also utilizes the belly cargo capacity of China Southern Airlines' extensive passenger fleet of over 800 aircraft. The airline's route network is intensive, covering 10 domestic and international stations with freighters, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Amsterdam, Stansted, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Chicago, Ho Chi Minh, and Hanoi. Through partnerships with over 50 airlines and a well-developed domestic and international trucking network, China Southern Cargo can reach more than 300 cities globally and 260 trucking destinations. They also have strong ground handling capabilities with self-handled cargo terminals in 12 cities across China.

China Southern Cargo offers a variety of specialized cargo handling services, including express, dangerous goods, live animal transport, and charter services. They have developed their own "Tang" cargo IT System for 24-hour online reservation and global coverage. In August 2011, China Southern Cargo became the first in China to join Cargo2000, demonstrating a commitment to higher quality and standards.
