Harmony Balloonport

Economic reasons. The balloonport was a private facility used almost exclusively by the commercial hot air balloon tour company 'In Flight Balloon Adventures.' The site became inactive when the business stopped operating. It was not closed due to an accident, military conversion, or regulatory action.

The site is currently an undeveloped, open grassy field. Recent satellite imagery shows that the land remains vacant, with faint, overgrown outlines of the mowed paths and the circular balloon launch/landing area still visible. It is not used for any formal purpose.

Harmony Balloonport was not a traditional airport but a dedicated private launch site for hot air balloons. Its significance was local, serving as the operational base for 'In Flight Balloon Adventures.' The company provided scenic tourism flights for the public over the Delaware River, Phillipsburg, and the rolling hills of Warren County, New Jersey. Operations consisted solely of launching and occasionally landing hot air balloons for recreational tours.

None known. There are no public plans or proposals to reopen the site as a balloonport or for any other aviation purpose. Given that it was private land tied to a specific defunct business and is located in a developing area near Interstate 78, any future use is more likely to be commercial or residential development rather than a return to aviation.
