The airport was closed between 1998 and 2004. It was still depicted on the 1998 Orlando Sectional Chart but had been removed by the time the 2004 edition was published. Aerial imagery from 2005 confirms the land was already being redeveloped.
The airport was closed for real estate development. The land was sold and subsequently transformed into a large residential housing community, with homes and roads built directly across the former runway area.
The site of the former airport is now completely occupied by the 'Victoria Park' residential community in Deland. The exact location of the runway has been overwritten by homes, lawns, and streets, including Plantation Drive and Pine Lakes Parkway. There are no remaining physical traces of the airfield.
Pine Lakes Farm Airport was a private general aviation airfield that became active sometime before 1970. It featured a single unpaved turf runway, oriented NE/SW, with a length of approximately 2,600 feet. The airport was owned by 'Pine Lakes Inc.' and served the private aviation needs of the landowners and their guests. It was a typical example of a private farm strip, supporting personal and recreational flying rather than commercial or military operations.
None. The land has been permanently and fully converted to high-density residential use, making any prospect of reopening the airport impossible.
