Seigfried Halfpap Airport

The airport was a private airstrip whose closure is directly linked to the death of its owner and primary user, Seigfried 'Sig' Halfpap, in 2016. Private airfields of this nature often cease operations when the owner is no longer able to fly or passes away, and there is no one to continue maintaining the facility.

The site remains private property and is primarily used as farmland. Satellite imagery of the coordinates shows a clearly defined but inactive and partially overgrown north-south grass runway. A building that appears to be a hangar or a large farm shed is still present near the southern end of the former strip. The land is not used for any aviation activities.
