Sky Classics Field

The airport was closed due to the sale and subsequent redevelopment of the property for commercial use. The land was more valuable for industrial development than for its use as a private airfield.

The site has been completely redeveloped and is unrecognizable as a former airfield. The land is now occupied by a large-scale industrial warehouse and distribution center, specifically a facility operated by GXO Logistics for tenants including Crate & Barrel, located at 107 Killinger Road. The former runway and hangar area are now covered by the building, extensive parking lots, and truck bays.

Sky Classics Field (correct FAA Identifier: PN70) was a private-use turf airfield established sometime prior to 1993. It featured a single grass runway, approximately 2,200 feet long, and at least one hangar. The name 'Sky Classics' suggests it was primarily used for the operation and storage of vintage or classic general aviation aircraft. It was owned by Joseph Vesley and served as a personal airstrip for recreational flying, rather than for commercial or military operations.
