The site is private farmland. Satellite imagery shows that the faint outline of the former north/south grass runway is still visible on the landscape. However, the strip is no longer maintained as an active airfield and has been integrated back into the surrounding agricultural fields for cultivation or pasture.

Markt Air Strip was a privately owned and operated grass runway. Its significance was local and personal, serving the general aviation and/or agricultural needs of the landowner. It was likely used for recreational flying or farm-related transportation and did not handle commercial, military, or significant public operations.

There are no known plans or prospects for reopening the airstrip. As a defunct private facility, any reactivation would be solely at the discretion of the current landowner and is considered highly unlikely. It is not included in any state or federal aviation plans.
