Karmy's Airport

Several buildings, which may include repurposed hangars, exist on the property. The adjacent road is named 'Karmys Road', serving as a reminder of the former airfield.

Karmy's Airport was a small, private general aviation airfield that served the local community of Woodstock, Virginia. It was not depicted on aeronautical charts until the 1970s. The 1982 AOPA Airports USA Directory listed the operator as Joseph Karmy. The airport featured a single unpaved turf runway, initially listed as 2,200 feet and later extended to 2,400 feet. It primarily handled light, single-engine aircraft for recreational flying and private transport, representing a typical small-town American private airfield from that era.

There are no known plans or prospects for reopening Karmy's Airport. The land has been privately held and used for non-aviation purposes for approximately three decades, making a return to aviation operations extremely unlikely.
