The heliport was decommissioned and permanently closed because it was replaced by a new, larger, and more modern rooftop helipad (FAA LID: 0CO3) constructed during a major expansion of the Poudre Valley Hospital.
The site of the former heliport, located on the roof of the original Poudre Valley Hospital building, has been decommissioned. The helipad markings have been removed, and the area is now simply a plain rooftop. All helicopter operations for the hospital now use the new 'UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital Heliport' (FAA LID: 0CO3) located on a newer wing of the hospital complex.
Named after Dr. William T. Browder, a prominent local surgeon, this was the primary rooftop helipad for the Poudre Valley Hospital from the 1980s until its closure in 2019. It was a critical piece of infrastructure for regional emergency medical services, handling air ambulance helicopters (Medevac) for the rapid transport of critically ill and injured patients. The ICAO code 'US-10275' was an unofficial identifier used by third-party data aggregators, as the heliport did not have an official FAA Location Identifier.
There are no plans or prospects for reopening this heliport. It has been permanently and officially replaced by a new, superior facility on the same hospital campus, rendering the old site obsolete.
