Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft operate in the area, but availability can be limited, so booking a shuttle in advance is recommended.
Car rental agencies, including Hertz and National, have counters located inside the Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) terminal. It is strongly advised to make reservations well in advance, especially during peak ski and festival seasons, as vehicle supply is limited.
There is no direct public bus or train service to or from the airport. To access the local free transit, you must first take a taxi, shuttle, or rental car into Mountain Village or the town of Telluride. Once there, you can use the free Galloping Goose bus and the iconic free Gondola connecting the two towns.
