There is no direct public bus or train service to the Adirondack Regional Airport terminal. Travelers would need to use a taxi or a pre-arranged shuttle to connect to public transit routes in the nearby villages of Saranac Lake or Lake Placid.
During the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics runway 05-23 was stretched to be able for a Boeing 747 to land!
