Taxi services are available 24/7 from the Ground Transportation Center on the lower level of the terminal. A flat rate is typically charged for trips to downtown Indianapolis. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft also pick up passengers from the Ground Transportation Center.
The Rental Car Center is a consolidated facility connected to the main terminal via a covered pedestrian walkway. All major rental companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National, operate from this location.
IndyGo's Route 8 bus provides direct, affordable service between the airport and downtown Indianapolis. The bus stop is located at Zone 1 of the Ground Transportation Center. The service runs seven days a week.
The airport has reactivated its five designated smoking areas until 30 June 2008. After that, smoking will be permanently banned anywhere on airport property except inside privately-owned vehicles:
