Taxis are available on the lower level outside the baggage claim area of each terminal. Fares are metered and regulated by Broward County. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft also have designated pickup areas on the arrivals (lower) level.
The Rental Car Center (RCC) is a separate facility that houses over 12 major rental car companies, including Avis, Hertz, Enterprise, and Budget. Free shuttle buses transport passengers between the RCC and the lower level of all terminals.
Broward County Transit (BCT) operates bus services from the airport. The primary route is Route 1, connecting to downtown Fort Lauderdale. For regional train service, a free shuttle bus connects travelers to the Tri-Rail commuter rail at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Station at Dania Beach.
I gave been traveling this terminal for years as a business traveler woth hreat frequency. This bar is filthy. The dtainess, the inside bar walls, the clear counter inserts are crusted with filth on the inside. Shocked at the lack sanitation. I know renovation is in process, but that dies not have to do with keeping it clean and safe from mold, bacteria, infesration....
Zoom airlines is adding a non-stop flight from FLL to London (presumably Gatwick LGW) -- it will be the first scheduled trans-Atlantic flight route from the airport in over a decade:
