Licensed airport taxis and limousines are available 24/7 just outside the arrivals area. Fares to downtown Halifax are typically a fixed rate, while other destinations are metered. Both cash and major credit/debit cards are accepted.
Several major car rental agencies are located on-site on Level P1 of the parkade, accessible via a pedway from the terminal. Companies include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Alamo. Pre-booking is highly recommended, especially during peak travel seasons.
Halifax Transit's MetroX Route 320 provides express bus service connecting the airport to downtown Halifax (Albemarle Street Terminal) and Dartmouth. The bus stop is located at the curb outside arrivals. Service runs frequently throughout the day, and passengers need exact change or a transit pass for the fare.

Landed here in our four-seat plane. Very cool to be in line in between huge jets, some landing after a trans-Atlantic flight. Halifax proper is very foggy, and even at the airport, the early morning can be a bit iffy. There is a Tim Horton's (coffee/donut shop) just outside the terminal, maybe a 5-minute walk, tops.
